  Our History

  An employee-owned, mission-driven organization, MD Buyline was founded in 1983 by a visionary group of physicians and healthcare executives with supply chain, finance, and clinical backgrounds. Established on the belief that healthcare serves a higher calling, MD Buyline’s focus for the three decades since then has supported the ambition that hospitals and health systems should warrant certain advantages that other industries do not enjoy.

  
  

  In conjunction with its founding partner hospitals, MD Buyline changed the way that capital equipment was purchased by demanding transparency in the medical technology selection and acquisition process. Over time, this passion and commitment to evidence, transparency and to serving the needs of healthcare practitioners has been expanded to include consumable technology, service contracts, healthcare IT, and other areas associated with the healthcare supply chain.
